Who we are
Louth Local Development CLG is a Local Development Company funded by the Irish Government to deliver programmes that make a positive difference in people’s lives. We put individuals and communities at the heart of our services, and their views shape how we design, deliver and evaluate them.
Our work includes training, employment, enterprise and social enterprise support, community development, early years, family support, rural, and health and wellbeing programmes.
Our programmes
We deliver programmes on behalf of government departments and state agencies including the Department of Social Protection, the Department of Rural and Community Development and Tusla.
Community groups, individuals & families
Tackling poverty and social exclusion by supporting disadvantaged individuals, families and local community groups.
Jobseekers
One-to-one support, CV and interview preparation and workshops for jobseekers across Louth and Meath.
Rural businesses & communities
Community-led funding for rural enterprise, infrastructure and sustainable development projects in County Louth.
Children 0–12 & families
Prevention and early intervention supports for children aged 0–12 and their families across County Louth.
Long-term unemployed
Paid community work placements of 19.5 hours a week for people who have been unemployed for 12 months or more.
Walkers, communities & landowners
Developing and promoting Louth’s trails, greenways and outdoor activities for residents and visitors.
