We empower and facilitate development and social change through integrated supports that address the causes and consequences of disadvantage and poverty.
Our story
Since 1995, Louth Local Development has delivered programmes in County Louth that support social and economic development and inclusion for individuals, families and communities.
The company in its current form was set up in January 2009 as part of the national restructuring of the local development sector. That process, known as cohesion, merged the activities of Area Partnership and LEADER companies into one Local Development Company for each county.
Today our main programmes include SICAP, the LEADER Rural Development Programme, the Local Area Employment Service and the Louth ABC Programme. Together they help us develop innovative responses to local problems and build local capacity to meet local needs.
A place which empowers individuals, families and communities to participate in a county which is inclusive, diverse and sustainable.
